Remi grinned and gave Minglong a quick thumbs up. "Sweet." He said, his voice mostly monotone despite the excited look in his eyes. His expression changed at Minglong's question, mostly confused by it but also confused why he'd ask. Hugs weirded him out to say the least, and his family sans Anya pretty much never showed physical affection because they learned a long time ago he'd react harshly to it. He blinked a couple times, a bit dumbfounded but also unsure of how to answer. Eventually he decided to say 'screw it' and shrugged, "Sure? I mean I probably don't smell the best cause I haven't showered since like... two days ago, but if you insist." He rambled.

MingLong didn't move too fast when going to give Remi a hug. He'd gotten confirmation that this was alright, but he still didn't want to startle him. He kept his hold loose, not making it so that Remi would feel trapped he hoped, and gave a light squeeze. He said gently, "I was worried when you did not show up for music stuff. Next time you are going to pull a disappearing act, warn me."
He reached up with one of the arms around Remi and patted his hair lightly, a gesture that he mostly thought of as a soothing one. He pulled away, not wanting to push him into too long a hug, and said, "I will make sure you get the music to you, and the violin. See you soon. Do not do anything too terribly stupid without checking with someone first, yes?"

Remi reciprocated the hug, albeit a bit more awkwardly than Minglong. He pulled away as Minglong did, his mouth a straight line, giving him a nod. "Yeah, sorry to worry you." He responded simply, looking away. He still wasn't really used to having friends, let alone friends that actually cared about him if he disappeared for a while.
"Mmhmm, thanks." He said, giving Minglong a small but heartfelt smile. He raised an eyebrow, the smile turning more coy, "Does it have to be a person that actually exists?" He asked, not waiting for a response but pausing a moment for dramatics before waving a hand, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I will. Promise." He said, raising his pinky finger as if to say he pinky promised.

MingLong rolled his eyes at Remi, raising one eyebrow, and said, "Yes, a person who is real."
When Remi held out his hand like for a pinky promise, MingLong reached up and linked their pinkies together, in the standard gesture, and said, "I'll hold you to that."
He waved as he headed for the door, waiting until he was in the hall before he pulled out his phone to text Remi's mother. She'd given him her contact information, clearly startled that he'd cared enough to track Remi down and then gone to visit him. He wanted to let her know as soon as possible about getting Remi the music.
