Seojin had started working on upping the sheer number of choreograpies that she knew. One of the things that would be "her thing" once they debuted would be being able to just do a lot of dances at the drop of a hat. Taehoon-oppa had been like that when Yuseong debuted, and he would still do really well in random play dances, though he didn't quite know everything that came out anymore. Seojin figured that she could study anything that was popular and hard right now, and that would go a long way.
She'd been working on Seventeen's "Hit" for a few mornings in a row, and since it was the weekend, she finally had a day that she could put several hours into some of the harder bits of the choreography. She'd been running the bit where several of the dancers with Minghao at the front went up to the front with quick footwork, and then he did the cool kick for a while because she wanted to make it just right. She'd determined that this was one of those pieces that if she ever wanted to do a cover, she'd need at least two other people. She figured that she could rope Tai in if she needed to, but even with just the two of them, you couldn't even begin to create the formations.
She started it again for the tenth time in a row and finally, on that run, she was happy with the angle she hit for the sweeping kick. She paused the music and stood there running the move for a few minutes, wondering who else she could talk into doing the cover who would be able to do it well.

Felix had just gotten up from a nap and figured he should get around to doing things he was supposed to, like practicing things and stuff like that. He heard music coming from the practice dance studio and almost turned around to return to his dorm, but instead decided to see who it was in there. Probably because he was curious who else in the company liked Seventeen. He saw Seojin in the dance studio, catching the tail end of her dance before she turned off the music and just focused on a certain move. He cleared his throat to get her attention, "Uh, sorry. I heard Seventeen, so I was curious. Uh... You're good... at that dance." He was realizing as he rambled awkwardly at her that he'd never actually talked with her. It hadn't been intentional, just... the girls and boys were almost constantly separated so he never really got the chance.

Seojin looked up slightly surprised to have someone join her in the studio, and more so that she'd not noticed until they talked. She'd been focused. She smiled at Felix and said, "Hi Felix, thanks, I'm glad it looks good. I've been working on it for long enough today that I'd hope it would."
She chuckled a little bit about him seeming surprised about someone playing Seventeen and said, "I'm not sure that someone playing Seventeen would narrow down who it might be all that much, considering I know for sure that Tai and Seoji both like them, though I don't think that Seoji could keep up with the dances to most of their songs yet. And Taehoon-oppa learns most of their choreo because he has a reputation to maintain with random play dances on shows. I like the choreo for 'Hit' a lot though, it's cool. I'm considering using this for this month's assessments, though it really doesn't work that well with just one person, so much of their choreography is based on formation usage."
She realized that she was rambling a lot and asked, "Want to join me? I know that I can rope Tai into just about anything dance, but I don't think that any of my girls are quite up to this choreo, Anya's the closest, and I think that she'd knock herself over on a few parts. She's learning fast, but this is hard."
Seojin wasn't sure if Felix was shy of her in general, or just kind of shy because he wasn't that good at Korean yet, but she kept track of everyone. Considering she'd made decent friends with Seoji from helping him with dance, and she was involved with helping the dance classes, and there just weren't enough of them and wasn't enough time with the dance trainer to completely separate the girls and the boys. Felix was good enough as a dancer that she'd not been helping him though, and if he'd needed help, he'd probably have gone to Tai anyhow. The girls who needed help were more her responsibility.

Felix chuckled as she debated who might have been able to dance with her, and it made him feel a bit honored she asked him. He perked up as she asked if he wanted to join her. "Yes!" He said quickly, a little higher than he intended. "I just need to warm up a bit first." He added as an afterthought, recalling he'd just woken up from a nap.
Felix hadn't interacted much with Seojin, not during the training camp nor afterwords, but he knew enough about her to know she was friendly, and took care of the dongsaengs well. He knew she was a great dancer, and a great singer, but that was all he really knew in terms of things he'd seen from her first hand. He'd been meaning to get to know her, but the opportunity just hadn't come about. So to dance with her felt like an honor and also an invitation to start a friendship, or so he hoped.

Seojin kept her speech slow and clearly enunciated, remembering well enough what it was like to be new in a country where she wasn't entirely fluent. She smiled at Felix when he agreed to join her and said, "That's great. I'm glad that there's at least one member of the dance line among all the trainees who's about my age. The kids are great, but sometimes they're really kids."
She'd been spending the mos time with some of the younger girls because their training time overlapped the most, and she was glad for a chance to be around someone her own age not at school.
She stretched and watched Felix warm up, waiting for him to be ready to join in the dance. She asked, "Have you learned any of the choreo yet, or do you want to start from the beginning?"

Felix laughed lightly at her commented about the younger trainees. "I know..." He said with a nod. "Taijia has even helped me with my homework before." He said with another chuckle. He didn't know how to add on to it, though. He could understand Seojin's desire to be around people her own age, for as mature as Taijia was, and as mature as he heard Anya could be, they were still kids, and the other younger trainees were the same, but those two seemed especially young. At least the company had made sure to bridge the age gaps pretty well, so being 16 with an 11 year old destined to be in his group didn't seem so weird. He wondered how Seojin felt about that, considering her group was debuting sooner. Maybe one day, once they got closer, and he knew more Korean, he could ask her how she felt.
He did a few more quick stretches before heading a little closer towards Seojin, "Okay." He said simply in regards to being ready. "Uhm..." He thought for a moment. "I have watched it a few times, so I can do the chorus, but otherwise I only know bits and pieces. If we could start from the beginning, I would like that."

Seojin nodded and said, "Works for me."
She stood from finishing her stretching and shook her limbs out a little bit, glancing over at Felix. She said, "I'll count us through it and show you the steps from the start. I'm sure you'll catch it fast if you've watched and already started learning a little."
She waited until he was ready to start the count going about half speed and showing the moves carefully, watching him in the mirror and stopping at the end of every dance phrase. After she got through a few bars, she checked, "How's this pace? Any questions? Let me know if you want to pause at any point and go back over something."
She didn't want to overwhelm him, but she also didn't want to go too slow, and he was a good dancer.

Felix finished his own stretches and stood up straight, nodding to Seojin. "Sounds good."
He mimicked her dances as she did them, nodding as she asked him questions. "Right now I'm okay." He said simply. He decided he liked learning dancing with her, for she seemed aware of his skills and was going at the perfect pace for him to learn the new song. After another few bars of the dance, he looked over to her, "Maybe once we finish a verse, I would like to try the dance all together so I can make sure to get it." He stumbled over words in a few places, but overall felt like he got the point across.

Seojin listened patiently and said, "That sounds like a good plan."
She worked her way through the rest of the verse dance phrase by dance phrase, making sure that Felix seemed to be keeping up. He was a very good dancer, and she was glad that he'd been interested in joining her. The dance was definitely more fun with more people.
Once they were done with that verse, she asked, "Do you want to try to do it up to this point to the music by yourself or together?"
He seemed to be getting it well, so she figured that it could go either way. Felix definitely seemed more confident about the dancing part than the Korean part, but she didn't want to put him too much on the spot.

Felix followed through the dance as they went along, not finding it too difficult yet. He also was watching Seojin, admiring her dancing but also just seeing how she was doing with the dance. He thought over whether it would be good to try it together or on his own first, before responding, "let's do it um... one at a time, and watch each other. That way we can see any mistakes maybe we aren't seeing on ourselves."

Seojin nodded and said, "That makes sense. I've been practicing it for a while now, so I think that I've got it pretty close to down, but another pair of eyes never hurts."
She went over to the sound system and said, "Why don't you go first. I've been dancing for longer, so I should stop and stretch for a bit, and I can watch you while I do."
She gave him a moment to process what she'd just said and get ready before she started the music, watching him carefully and starting to do a series of stretches that let her keep her eyes on his dancing.
