Seoji had been excited when the CEO had first mentioned guerilla concerts as some that they would start doing as trainees. It was something that the girls hadn't done, they'd not had enough time really in their training cycle, and the attention from the audition camp had still been going pretty strong. The CEO didn't want the boys to lose that attention over the next few years while they prepared for debut and gave the girls a chance to get established and Tai a chance to get old enough to not seem incredibly young.
Now that it was the morning of the first one, he was just nervous though. They would be going out around midday to the waterfront park right near the building, and performing where there was lots of open space but also lots of passersby to watch them. The managers who would be with them would have little cards to hand out with information and there was a printed sign that had a scannable code that went to their channel. It felt like a lot was riding on them getting attention, though Seoji also knew that there had been responses and attention on the social media post telling fans where to go for a surprise.
Seoji knew that he wasn't the first up, that was always Tai who wasn't back from his morning practice yet, but he busied himself around the dorm trying to get things tidier when they were already pretty tidy and waiting for everyone to be up or back in the dorm. He couldn't even bother to spend a bunch of time on his outfit because they were going to have styling for the day, but that was still a little while away.

Felix was reluctant to get up, though his alarm had went off, and he heard Seoji moving around. He had hardly slept that night, because nerves meant he had a lot of weird dreams that woke him up. He was nervous and excited about the guerrilla concert today, but it was also their first true concert, out in public, and not just from behind a camera. He rubbed his eyes then tangled his hands into his hair. He sat up, eyes only half opened, and grumbled as he climbed off his bed and went into the bathroom, washing up before finding Seoji and resting his head on the other's shoulder. "Seoji... Make me coffee..." He begged, though his tone was polite.

Seoji started the coffee pot as soon as he heard Felix starting to move around, clearly slightly out of it, which wasn't that much of a surprise, Felix wasn't great at mornings. While Felix was in the bathroom, Tai came back in, said a soft hello to Seoji in the kitchen, and went straight to the bedroom, presumably to get the rest of the way ready, though from his damp hair, it looked like he'd alredy showered at the dance studio after his morning practice.
Seoji could hear Tai starting to try to get Meri to get up and get ready, though not precisely what Tai was saying, also unsurprising, Tai's voice was very soft the vast majority of the time. He hoped that it would work and he wouldn't need to go help because so far, he and Meri were still getting to know each other, and it made him a little awkward about things like getting the younger boy up.
He shivered very slightly when Felix dropped his head on his shoulder, glad that he'd already predicted that Felix would need coffee. He wiggled around and looped an arm around Felix's waist, letting the moment of strangeness in his own head pass and said, "I'm way ahead of you. The coffee will be ready in about a minute, it's just finishing up. You should also have some food. There's rice if you want it, but I think that we've got other things in the fridge too."

"Excellent." Felix grumbled. For some reason, despite his tiredness, he was hyper-aware of the hand around his waist. He took a moment to think about what he wanted to eat. "Rice is fine." He added. The smell of coffee was helping his brain function a little better, but it seemed to want to remain focused on Seoji's hand.
Meri woke up and noticed someone was talking to him. He blinked at Taijia wearily, he'd stayed up too late to be getting up already. His mind reminded him of why he'd stayed up - anxious about the guerilla concert - and he shot up, a look of panic on his face before it softened and he whined, "don't tell me it's time to get up already..."

After they had held standing together like that for a brief period, the coffee finished, and Seoji snagged a mug, poured it, prepped it for Felix, and put it in his hand before finally letting go and moving away to prepare a bowl of rice. It felt strangely domestic, and he knew that Felix could have done it for himself, but it also felt nice getting things ready for Felix.
Seoji wasn't sure that he wanted to examine that feeling too closely, but he flung an arm around Felix's shoulders after depositing a bowl of rice with chopsticks in front of him on the counter, and said, "Hopefully that gives you a little more energy, we have to go to the stylists pretty soon."
In the bedroom. Tai smiled, clearly slightly amused, at Meri where he was sleeping and told him softly, "Yeah, you don't have to be super awake, but we have to go to the stylists for the day soon. So we need to get up. There's rice and tea, and I think that Seoji was making coffee for Felix so there might be some of that, if any of that would help with getting up."
Half awake Meri was something that Tai generally found he enjoyed watching, though he wasn't entirely sure why. It wasn't uncommon at all for him to be the one to wake Meri up, since they went to school together and Tai was always up first. This was a little different somehow though. Meri seemed more nervous than usual, and Tai reached out and gently patted his friend's shoulder and said, "You're going to do great today, you've been doing great in practice."
Then he slipped back out to the main room, knowing that if Meri didn't follow him out soon, he'd go back and check that the other boy was actually getting up. He smiled at Seoji and Felix and then went over to the couch and tucked himself into a corner, staring out the window and ignoring them, since he was entirely ready to go.

Felix watched as Seoji got his coffee ready, wondering exactly when the other boy had learned exactly how he liked it. "Thank you." He said, his voice still sounding sleepy. He took a sip, now even more curious when Seoji learned exactly what type of coffee he liked. "At least I can sleep some more in the stylist's chair." He half-joked.
"I'd like some tea..." Meri said. "And some plain rice." He was worried if he ate anything that wasn't plain he'd feel sick by the time of the guerilla concert. He was somewhat thankful Taijia picked up on his nervousness, and gave the boy a smile. "Thanks." He waited for Taijia to leave the room before changing into jeans and a t-shirt, and then shuffling to the bathroom to wash up.
Felix noticed Taijia reemerge, and a little later, Meri, properly dressed, and he looked down at his sweats and tank top. "I guess that means it's my turn to get dressed." He muttered to himself. He set his coffee down and went into the bedroom, pulling out a pair of jeans and an old and stretched out, yet still stylish, sweater and pulled it on over the tank top. He came back into the kitchen and went straight to his coffee again. He went to sit at the counter to be out of the kitchen as Meri came out of the bathroom and went to make himself tea and rice.

Seoji laughed a little and reassured Felix as he went, "We're getting styling today, so goal for clothes is presentable, not matching to anyone or anything else. I'm not use to the idea of styling yet, it will be interesting to see how it goes."
He was actually a little nervous. What if the stylists didn't have his sizes right? He'd made sure to wear nice jeans that would work just in case. Even so though, styling was mostly exciting, it meant that the company was investing in their pre-debut activities.
Tai had done a quick check that the rice cooker and tea pot weren't empty yet as he'd come out so that he knew that Meri would just be able to collect is food and tea. He smiled at Meri as the other boy found his way out of the bedroom and sort of quietly hoped that Meri would come sit with him to have his breakfast, especially with the older two hanging around the kitchen. He was quiet about it though, not really doing much other than relaxing a little bit in the spot where he'd curled in the corner of the couch.
It wasn't that much longer before the trainee manager appeared in the entry way, coming in after a warning knock. He told them, "We've got about ten minutes maximum for you to finish getting ready for us to head to the stylists. It looks like you're all at least up and dressed, so that's good."
Seoji bowed to the manager and told him, "We're nearly ready, a few of us were just finishing up breakfast."
He went over to the entrance to get his shoes and a face mask, something that had started to be implemented for them as an any time they were going out without makeup already done policy, just like it was for most of Yuseong apparently. Tai was quick to the door as well, slipping on his shoes and mask without comment.

"Cool the company is going to pay for that." Felix mused, his sentence not quite full before his brain was properly working. He bowed to the trainee manager when he showed up and cleaned up his dishes. He then followed Seoji to the door and got on his shoes and a face mask.
Meri joined Taijia on the couch to eat some rice and drink some tea, but panicked a bit when the manager showed up. He finished his food quickly and brought the tea to the kitchen, pouring it into a travel mug so he could bring it with him. He joined the others in the foyer and looked to Taijia and gave him a smile, waiting for the smaller boy.

The manager wasn't taking them very far for the styling, there was a salon in the vicinity of the company that worked with them regularly, but since none of them had had hair done recently, they were actually going to the salon instead of having their hair done at the beginning of a promotional cycle and then having stylists brought into the company building. The idea of having the entire salon basically reserved for the four of them for a few hours while their hair, make up, and clothes were styled was really foreign to Seoji though. He was glad that it wasn't just him at least.
Tai smiled back at Meri, reaching over to give him a small pat on the shoulder again. Meri was taller than him, but didn't tower over him the way Seoji and Felix did, so it wasn't particularly awkward as a movement. He was glad that the two of them had been getting along, but Tai also suspected that he was the least nervous about this whole thing, Felix at least had been styled for plenty of things before since he'd modeled, but Tai wasn't really sure how the eldest of their quartet was feeling about this. Tai had been styled to perform before though, since he'd actually been in a few filmed things as a skilled child dancer in the Seattle area. Honestly, he was looking forward to this, especially since it looked like they might have a bit of a crowd, and Tai enjoyed performing for an audience.
Seoji stuck close to Felix as the manager led them down to the smaller van, snagging the seat with arm rests in the middle row. Tai quickly got into the back, ensconcing himself in the corner, which Seoji had learned was pretty much always where Tai put himself in any vehicle. It was a little strange to Seoji to be using the car to only go a few blocks, but the manager figured that it made more sense especially since they shouldn't be seen in their styling until they actually got to the park for the guerilla concert. It didn't take long to get to the salon, and soon Seoji was following the manager in and politely giving group introductions and saying thank you to the stylists as the group leader. All of them were ushered into the hair area to get their hair tidied and prepped, though since they were all still in school, they were expected to keep natural looking hair. Seoji looked forward to the day when they would get more exciting hair colors. He was sure that it would be interesting, but he'd never been to a fancy hair salon before, so this was an experience.

Felix looked over the salon as they arrived. This wasn't just some cheap salon, this was fancy. With his previous career and his brother's current career, he was used to these types of salons, but it had been a while since it was done for him because he was the one that was going to be in the spotlight.
As he sat in a chair and the stylist asked what he wanted (well, he'd only picked up on "what" and "want," so he could only assume that was what he was asked, and his hair stylist spoke quickly), he motioned to his current hair style. "Um, same style?" He tried, not really sure how to say he wanted the same or a similar style, and just have it cleaned up. He was used to this hair style, and perhaps once they debuted he'd get more adventurous with it. He looked to Taijia with a slightly desperate look. "Tai... I need help." He asked the boy. Luckily Tai wasn't too far away from him so he didn't have to yell and feel like he was being rude. He switched to Spanish, speaking slower than usual so Taijia could keep up. "I want to tell her I want the same hairstyle but cleaned up, I have no idea how to say that. The only version of 'clean' coming to mind is 'clean the dishes' and I think that's not right." He started rambling a bit near the end, switching to Korean for his example (and possibly confusing everyone).
Meri sat down in the chair as the hairstylist asked what he wanted. He hesitated a moment and said he just wanted it cleaned up. He wanted blond hair permanently, and on long breaks he usually put in temporary dye because he liked the look. He'd even taken a few selcas with the blond hair and posted it to the trainee boy's instagram. But for now he had to keep it black. "Manager, for debut, can I have blond hair?"
The manager looked up from his phone and smiled, "Yeah, sure."

As they were all getting settled into their chairs, the manager told the head stylist, "They're all still in school, so no permanent colors. Chalk or clip ins are fine. We want to go with a bright, youthful style."
Seoji didn't really have strong feelings about what would look good on his hair. He'd not had many chances to explore it, instead just going for inexpensive hair cuts when it got too long and in his eyes. He told the stylist, "I am happy with whatever you think would look good on me."
In some ways, he was significantly more interested in seeing what the others ended up doing.
Tai was antsy getting in the chair. He'd had enough hair to pull back for a long time now, most of his life that he could remember, and he didn't really want to stop that now. He said in a tiny voice to the manager, "I don't want it short."
The manager nodded and Tai didn't look at the stylist when he said softly again, slightly less nervous since the manager had agreed, "I'd like to keep it about this length please."
Tai was a little startled at Meri saying that he wanted blond hair. It wasn't something that Tai had ever really considered personally. Tai very tentatively voiced a second opinion, "For the bright, youthful style, colorful clip ins might look cool on us."
Seoji looked over at the younger boy, startled, but he nodded. He didn't mind the idea of having colorful hair. He just knew that he wasn't allowed to really have it for school, especially for pre-debut stuff. It seemed like most of them were just going to get their hair trimmed and maybe treated to make its texture nicer and then moved on to clothes and make up. Seoji really hoped that they had the right sizes for the whole group, since he was pretty sure that no two of them were close enough in size to share outfit items.
Before any of them started going in for makeup, the manager added, "No lightening makeup. We established that we wouldn't with Yuseong, so the CEO doesn't want us to change that around now."

Felix was glad for the hair cut, not realizing it was getting annoying until it wasn't anymore. As they moved on to makeup, he overheard what the manager told the make up artist, and looked up the word "lightening" before nodding in approval. One of the things his mother was most worried about was that Korea would consider him far too dark. His skin had lightened up a bit now that he was spending a lot of time either in school, in the dorms, or in the training room, but he knew a lot of Koreans, especially at school, often called him "too dark." He was pretty sure they'd be bullies in any other situation, but he could list multiple other naturally darker skinned yet well-respected Korean singers, and also didn't really care about his skin color, that their attempts at bullying didn't work. At least he could tell his mom she could rest easily now.
Meri was having fun with the clip-ins put in his hair, some blond and some a light blue, waving his head back and forth to see the color changes, that he almost didn't even realize they were being moved to another station to get makeup done. He didn't know what he wanted, so he just muttered something about a natural look to the makeup artist. Somehow, he was more willing to be adventurous with his hair than his face. Maybe once he got used to it he'd be more willing to explore. Right now, he still only occasionally remembered to even wash his face in the morning, let alone did he have any sort of skin care routine or put on makeup himself. He supposed it was another thing he'd just eventually get used to.

Make up didn't take too long as none of them had much to say about it, and the manager had encouraged a youthful look without too much make up. Among other things, Seoji suspected that this was because Tai was just so very young. Not that it was clear when you looked at their varying skill levels, but it was clear when you looked at just how tiny Tai was. Seoji knew that Tai was small for his age, but even then, looking at him, he would sometimes momentarily think that he was younger than he was.
The clothing that was laid out for their styling was bright and colorful and youthful as well. Seoji was glad that they were covering some of Yuseong's early stuff, still the cute and colorful stage, which they'd held onto for a long time, but it suited the boys right now. There were some other songs that they would do as well, but all in that bright and youthful style.
Tai was more involved in the styling process than Seoji was, asking quiet questions and providing input. He was glad that he was able to get his makeup focused on his eyes, and a pink clip in highlight, contrasting to the ones that Meri had a bit. He stuck pretty close to Meri's side, just keeping an eye on Felix in case the older boy was looking really lost. He felt like all of them looked a little bit lost though, but at least they were nearly ready to get a small meal together and then head to the park to busk.

Felix felt like he was looking at a different person once makeup was done. The makeup artist hadn't even done a lot, Felix just never wore make up, so any felt like a significant amount. He did have to admit his eyes benefited from eyeliner, though. As they got to the clothes, Felix was vaguely reminded of home. Not because of certain patterns or anything, just how colorful all the clothes were. He wished he could pick the clothing himself, but they were all still trainees and it seemed like a lot of them barely knew up from down at the moment. The stylist chose an outfit that wasn't his favorite, but Felix did have to agree the colors fit him nicely.
Meri was thankful Taijia was sticking close to him, as it was helping to keep him from getting too anxious. He was glad the makeup was kept simple, he wasn't sure he had the patience for intense makeup yet. He also mentally grinned at Taijia also picking a clip-in highlight. As they got to the outfits, Meri wondered for a moment if they'd even have something his size, let alone Taijia's size. Felix and Seoji really seemed like the right height for typical idol clothes. Perhaps, since this was put on by the company, they knew to get different sized clothes.
