Felix nodded. "I believe that." He said simply, absentmindedly patting one of her legs when she draped them over him, as if forgetting he wasn't in Argentina anymore. He supposed Elena would do that to him, and he sighed and returned his hand to the table.
He was about to say something when noticed Seoji outside, but when he got inside and close enough to see both of them, his eyes moved from Elena to Felix, and then he ran away. "Seoji?" Felix called, his eyebrows furrowed. He thought about going after him, but decided against it. He watched Seoji until he wasn't visible anymore and let out a sigh. "Jeez, he's fast. I wonder what he wanted..." He mused, glancing at Elena. "Um... We... Probably shouldn't sustain this position." He told her finally.
"Well, likewise, thanks for telling me. Your secret's also safe with me." He said finally, realizing he'd gotten distracted before he could reply to Elena's coming out.

Elena quirked her head at the boy who'd approached them, stared, then ran. "Yours?" she asked.
She removed her legs from Felix's lap. She hadn't even really realized she'd done it. She glanced to the baristas who were whispering and texting furiously.
"Should I go explain things to him? Do you like him?" she asked.

"Mi-mine??" Felix stuttered as he realized what Elena asked. He straightened up and shook his head quickly, his hair flopping over his eyes. For a moment, he wished it were longer so he could hide in it, but he didn't feel he looked good with long hair. His brain was distracting from the embarrassment of the moment and finally spoke again, "Um, no, it's fine, I'll talk to him later. I... don't know how I feel about him." He added the last part quieter, feeling like he was blushing. Even if he completely knew his feelings for Seoji, it would be embarrassing to talk about, but this weird... whatever it was going on between him and Seoji didn't help. Not that it was bad, he was actually quite glad to have Seoji as a friend, but his feelings for the other boy were confusing.

Elena took Felix's chin in her hand and turned his head to face her. She leaned in and stared into his eyes carefully, "oh~" she said, nodding to herself and letting him go, then she spoke to herself in French, "you don't know it yet, that makes sense."
She smiled warmly and switched back to Spanish, "Okay, let me know what you need from me and I'll do it." She gestured to his computer, "what's next?"

"What????" Felix asked Elena, eyes wide and his head tilted to one side, a slight frown on his face. He knew she said something in French, and picked up a few words, but not the whole thing, due to similarities between the two languages. "What don't I know? Is that what you said?" He asked under his breath. He wasn't sure if he actually wanted to know what she was talking about.
"Typing the essay." He said simply before he began typing his essay, ruffling his hair as he tried to figure out what she meant by her previous words, and looked over his notes to start typing the sentences. Even he knew he was typing extremely basic sentences. He got through the sentences he'd made notes on and hesitantly looked to Elena. Checking the amount of words he had showed he only had about 350 words.

Elena just smiled at Felix, feigning innocence. She sat back as he typed and took a few sips of her smoothie. "All done?" she said, leaning in to read what he'd written.
"You need more words? How about favorite animals, or movies, or what you like to do together as a family. Or even extended family, you can talk about them too." She said.

"We haven't gone over animals in class yet, so that might get me some bonus points. I'll go with that, but I'd appreciate help for the ones I don't know." Felix explained to Elena. "My parents don't really have favorite movies because they're proud parents and always complain my brother could've done better than the lead actor... Even if it's a Hollywood film. Not that he's a bad actor, but they've definitely got some favoritism there." He said, rolling his eyes.
He pulled the paper he'd been taking notes on and wrote out his family's favorite animals. Some of them he actually knew in English, like his brother's favorite animal being dogs, and his being cats. But for his mom's favorite animal (tigers), sister's favorite (seals), and his dad's favorite (beetles), he was unsure. He wrote them in Spanish and slid the paper to Elena. "This can hopefully get me over the needed amount of words, but I don't know how to translate the animal names in Spanish." He could easily use an online dictionary, but he rarely trusted them.

Elena giggled at Felix's explanation of his parent's relationship with Hollywood films, "aren't all parents like that really? It must make it hard to enjoy a movie sometimes. If you ever want to go watch one, I'll go with you. Also, maybe you can teach me some things. I've never been to a movie theater here so I have no idea how any of that works."
She took the sheet of paper and wrote down the equivalent words in Korean. "Interesting choices. Tigers are pretty normal, seals are a little odd but your sister has phenomenal taste and beetles? Really? Why beetles?"

Felix giggled with Elena, "I suppose you're right about that..." He thought a moment and nodded, "Come to think of it, I also haven't been to a movie theater here. We can explore that together!" He said. He thought a moment. "I guess it'd really be a test of just how much Korean I've learned..." He mused aloud.
He laughed and looked at the sheet of paper. "I don't know, honestly? My dad has this collection of these bracelets with beetles in like, stone or resin or something. Glass maybe." He shrugged. "They're pretty, but he loves them so much. I asked him one time and he said it was a thing he'd liked since childhood."

"It's just not common for people to be so loud in public places. If you think you're getting dirty stares now, just wait until you're on the subway." Felix explained to her calmly. "It's not bad to be loud, necessarily, but I've noticed Korean culture is really about keeping to yourself. Or maybe it's just like that for obvious foreigners, but no one's ever really tried to talk to me."
He nodded, "I'm not super fond of bugs, but I don't mind them as long as we're both outside. That's their home, after all. But I'm with you on not wanting to wear jewelry with a bug in it. I think I would get jump scared every time I turned my wrist." He agreed. "Thanks for helping with this." He added as an afterthought, bringing the paper he'd been writing on closer to him.

Elena tapped her chin, thinking, "I probably won't do well on a subway, will I?" She huffed a little, "it's going to be hard getting used to reigning myself in and dialing me back." She leaned over and rested her head on Felix's shoulder, "I honestly don't know if I can do it. I think I might burst."
She played with the hem of his shirt and let out a string of muttered Spanish as she tried to reason out whether she should stay true to herself or try to assimilate better.

Felix let Elena play with his shirt until the the workers started whispering while staring at the two of them, and then he gently brought her hands down to her lap. "You'll get used to it, I think. But you'll also definitely burst, first." He teased her lightly in Spanish. "And really, I think your fans will like that you stay true to yourself, though you'll have to accept you'll probably be more popular overseas." He told her, hoping it was as comforting to her as he meant it to be.

Elena lifted her head when Felix redirected her hands. She hadn't even noticed she'd been doing anything but when she looked over to the workers, she could tell she must have been doing something odd.
She sighed, "I can handle being liked by international fans, I just hope I'm not hated by Korean ones. I know I'm a lot, but it's all I know." She felt a little dejected at the idea of fully adjusting to life here. "It's going to be really different, isn't it? I haven't left this building much, so I don't really know what it's going to be like."

Felix frowned. He wished he could tell Elena she'd be loved by everyone and no one would hate her. But he knew what stardom was like. He'd watch his brother experience it, and knew enough about the KPop scene he knew that would never be true. But there was one thing he was sure of, "You'll have plenty of Korean fans, probably just not as many as international ones." He promised her.
His frowned deepened when she seemed upset about adjusting to life in Korea. "I've also not left the building much, but I know it's very different from what we're used to in Latino countries. It will take a lot of adjusting, and it's okay if you get home sick. I've gotten home sick quite a lot too. That's when you call your family," he smiled, "Or you can message me and if we're both free, we can go judge some Mexican food." He said, serious but using a teasing tone, hoping it would get Elena to be happy again. "We both knew going to Korea was going to be very different from what we were used to, and it will take a lot of adjusting, but I think we can do it."
