Allen is a friendly, relatively outgoing person who finds a lot of joy in getting to know people. However, after some long periods of illness that he now has under control, though it probably be something he has to keep under control for the rest of his life, he has lost touch with a lot of his old friends, so despite still living in the town he's lived in since he was 10, he doesn't have many friends around.
