((Admin Note: The site's location has changed since this thread!!))Hwangjung had been toying with the idea of asking Jiuk to move in since about the third time he spent the night. This was the first time he'd really been properly serious about someone that he'd dated, but Jiuk was cute and sweet and they clicked. They worked well together, and Jiuk understood his passion for music, cared about it, and maybe he'd even convince him to start writing lyrics together at some point because Jiuk was talented and amazing like that.
He'd gotten to the beach first, and was leaning against the rail near the start of the stairs, waiting for Jiuk to show up so that they could go on a walk. It was a bit of a cloudy, blustery day, but it wasn't likely to rain, so the beach had seemed like a good place to suggest for a date that would give some private conversation while still being properly romantic. He had the spare key in his pocket, tucked into a little box of flavored chocolate truffles that seemed like something Jiuk would like. He felt incredibly cheesy, but the idea made him smile. A lot about Jiuk made him smile.
He watched for Jiuk's car approaching, hoping that he wouldn't have to wait too much longer getting antsy over the idea.

Z drove up to the beach's parking lot, grumbling about parking even though there were still some spots available. He didn't really think much of Hwangjung inviting him on a beach date, since they'd done this a couple times, but something about his tone seemed different this time, and it made Z a bit nervous. Curious, definitely, but nervous. He pulled into a parking spot and climbed out of the car, pulling on a light, cream-colored jacket, that he may or may not had stolen from Hwangjung the last time he spent the night. He quickly noticed Hwangjung, considering how crowded it had been in the parking lot, most people were already down at the waterfront. "Hwangjungie~" He called as he approached, waving a sleeved hand and giving him a cute smile.

Hwangjung saw Jiuk's car pulling up, and he was smiling and waving as Jiuk approached him. He held his arms open for a hug and returned the greeting, "Jiukie!"
He was relieved that Jiuk was there, it kept him from fidgeting too much with the key in his pocket, waiting for him to ask if Jiuk wanted to move in with them, to see if he'd be OK with being in a house with as many people, even if the downstairs was somewhat separate from the upstairs. He asked, sounding slightly tentative, "How was your day?"

Z smiled into the hug, playing with his sleeves at the simple question. "Nothing special." He said with a shrug. "Oh, the wifi went down, so we got a full hour lunch. That was nice." He said with a small chuckle. His smile faded though as it turned into a childish pout, "But it came back on by the time we got back, and so we still had to work the full day." He blinked a couple times, tilting his head to the side, "How about your day?"

Hwangjung laughed and said, "It wasn't a bad day. Just my day off, so a thrilling day of cleaning, laundry, groceries and getting Tai to and from school. But I dropped him off at dance, and it's Yunjin-hyung who will pick him up. That means I'm free for the rest of the evening."
He offered his arm so they could link arms and said, "Let's go take a walk on the beach."
With his other hand, he kept fiddling with the key in his pocket. Part of him just wanted to go ahead and jump forward to asking Jiuk, but he didn't want that to be the start of the conversation, not until he knew more on what sort of day Jiuk was having.

"Ahh, how fun. Modern housewife." Z teased lightly. He wrapped his arms around Hwangjung's when it was offered, nuzzling the arm. "Mmm, let's~" He said. He truly felt relaxed, especially since this was one of his favorite things and Hwangjung seemed to enjoy it too. It was even almost sunset. He noticed it was getting easier to not think of Xavier now, he and Hwangjung had made enough memories that his ex was not necessarily forgotten, but had become a happy memory of old. Truly as time went on, it got easier, and even though they hadn't yet gone all the way, Z had also had an easier time not thinking of his trauma when they did get heated.
He fanned his face lightly, hoping he wasn't blushing from his thoughts, and shoving his sleeves so they were at his elbows. Thankfully the weather made it so it wasn't too odd for him to be warm in his sweater. He had to stop pulling out his "winter" clothes just because the season now claimed it was fall. Southern California didn't know the meaning of "seasonal change." He'd have to convince Hwangjung to one day take him to Korea during the winter, so that he could see snow. Or at least to a mountain resort.

Hwangjung laughed and said, "I'll have you know that I make a very good house wife. I'm not scared of the vacuum, unlike Sungyong, don't tell him I said that though, he'd be embarrassed, and he doesn't need any extra help on that front. And I remember what task I was in the middle of and don't get distracted by three other things unlike Yunjin-hyung, who could walk out of the house without his head on if it wasn't attached."
He tugged Jiuk a little closer so that he could nuzzle into his hair just a little bit, and he said softly, "You smell nice."
He hesitated then, not quite sure how to bring up the question, and fiddling with the key in his pocket.

Z laughed lightly at Hwangjung's comments about his housemates, imagining Sungyong acting like a cat when the vacuum came out. "I'll keep that in mind. Working forty hours a week does not make me a very productive human at the end of the day." He stated honestly. He squeaked as he got tugged closer, but instantly relaxed again. "Thank you." He said softly. He felt his cheeks heating up again, and he fanned his face lightly again.

Hwangjung laughed a bit and said, "Honestly, that's part of the reason that I don't mind that Yunjin-hyung doesn't do a lot of the chores around the house. He has a long schedule, at least forty hours a week, but well teaching comes home with him a lot, and Sungyong and I have much more flexible schedules. Sungyong does a lot of chores too, honestly, just not vacuuming, so if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. I keep saying that we should just swap out all the carpets for wood or something, it would make it easier on everyone."
He realized he was rambling, and he glanced over at Jiuk, and then said softly, suddenly a touch uncertain, "Do you like the house?"

Z listened to Hwangjung's ramblings, a soft but comfortable expression set on his face. He scrunched up his nose at the comment of bringing work home. "I've heard that's pretty common for teachers. I'd hate having to bring work home. I'm pretty glad my office doesn't do that. We do what we can do in eight hours and then we go home." He paused, humming in thought, "I debated becoming an English teacher at one point, honestly. But I just haven't felt inspired enough to get the proper credentials." He admitted with a small chuckle.
He looked up at Hwangjung, tilting his head to one side as a curious look appeared on his face. "I do... Why?" He asked, speaking honestly but hesitantly.

Hwangjung fidgeted when Jiuk asked him why, but he slowly said, "I've noticed that you sometimes sound a little bit uncomfortable or worried about where you're living right now, and um, well, I was wondering..."
He paused, gathering his thoughts, and then blurted out, "I was wondering if you'd like to move in with me."
He bit his lip and looked down, and then added, nearly babbling, "I mean, this is totally your call, and I don't want to push you, but I really like spending time with you, and would love for that to be more time. And well, I know that sometimes moving away from parent figures can make adult things easier. I talked to Yunjin and Sungyong about the idea, and they were fine with it, encouraged it even. Both of them, and I quote, say that you've been good for me, and they like you. Tai likes you pretty well too. You wouldn't be expected to be involved in taking care of Tai if you moved in like at all, other than being nice to him and stuff. Not that he needs much taking care of these days anyhow."
He realized that he was spilling globs of information all over and bit down on his lip to stop himself, fidgeting with the key in his pocket again.

Z could only smile at Hwangjung's ramblings. He felt like his brain went on overdrive while at the same time being completely relaxed. It gave him a queasy feeling, though he didn't blame it on the suggestion, but rather his brain going into an overdrive of sorts. He had always been an only child, he wasn't really used to sharing things with anyone, but he loved and trusted Hwangjung, and would be okay with an opportunity to at least see each other more often, but he also liked his personal space. He forced his mind to quiet down a bit and gave Hwangjung a tight-lipped smile. "I do feel rather awkward dating someone new, no matter what they say about how okay with it they are, they're still my ex's parents..." He mused aloud, giving his boyfriend a curt nod and a full grin, "I'd love to." He said. Saying it out loud made his stomach even more queasy, but he decided to blame it on everything but nerves.

Hwangjung turned towards Jiuk so that he could take his hand gently, digging the key out of his pocket and placing it carefully in his Jiuk's hand and closing his hand around it. He said, "I'm glad to hear that. There's some paperwork at home for the lease, but it's mostly a formality. Yunjin is currently leasing the house to buy, so he's also the direct landlord and manager. It's a little bit of a strange situation, but come next year, the house will actually be in his name fully. Possibly also in Sungyong's, but they hadn't fully decided."
He paused, realizing he was wandering off into another topic, and he said, "We don't have to hash out details right now, but do you have an idea of about how soon you would want to move in. I don't want you to feel rushed, but we should probably spend at least a weekend figuring out how to fit our stuff around each other's. My schedule is pretty flexible, but I know that you have a more structured hours job."
He leaned over and kissed Jiuk on the forehead and said, "Thank you. I've been wanting to ask you for a while, but I've been dithering. Sungyong's been teasing me about it."

The key felt warm in Z's hand, and even though his mind knew it was because in Hwangjung's pocket this entire time, another part of him was expecting the key to be much colder. It took him a moment to realize Hwangjung was asking him questions, his eyes still staring at the hand with the key until Hwangjung was almost done talking, as to which his eyes finally drifted to his boyfriend.
Slowly, he nodded. "As much as my schedule is structured, it's also rather convenient. I'm off everyday at 4, which also gives us a bit of time during the week to figure things out, as I'd assume you wouldn't start until at least 7, maybe 8?" He paused a moment, and his eyes now wandered into the distance, seemingly looking into the ocean. "I had been given the guest room, so conveniently, nearly all of the furniture is a rental, I guess you could say. I do have a couple pieces of personalized furniture, but they' rather small in comparison to say, a bed. My clothes and books might cause a bit more of a problem, as to the average person, it would look like I collect both." He said with a slight chuckle.
He laughed a bit louder, a hand covering his mouth as he did so. "He must love being able to tease you guys without being able to be teased back. But speaking of Sungyong, I'm sure Sammy would love me moving in, too. He often complains about how he misses him at Starbucks."

Hwangjung smiled and said, "I'm sure we can figure it out, and yeah, I start at seven a lot of days, but as long as I ask a few days in advance, I can also usually get a day in the middle of the week when we're slow off."
He added, "Helpfully, I've got a lot of wall space in my studio, and there's already some bookshelves up in there. We'll figure out a way to make it work, even if it involves some IKEA trips for more shelving and clothing space."
He paused hesitantly, and asked, "Is there a day this week that's good to start for you?"
Hwangjung shrugged and said, "Sungyong is kind of ambivalent about teasing us a lot of the time, partially because he does tend to miss the best teasing windows because he misses the signs. He's been kind of busy and quiet recently, but he seems to be doing OK, and I'm sure he'd be glad to see Samnang. Maybe you can recruit him into helping with moving you."
