"Oh, sweet!" Samnang said, standing up to look at the options. He hummed in thought for a moment before looking at the salesperson. "I'll get everything he got." He said with a small laugh, pointing a thumb in Allen's direction. "What kind of tea is it?" He asked curiously, trying to find where the store kept the tea, to see if he couldn't see for himself. He frowned a bit when he found it and the name of the tea was in Chinese. He laughed a bit, "All I got from that is it is tea."

Allen resisted the urge to laugh at Samnang's reaction to the food and the shop. He took the tray of his pastries, letting Samnang take his own, and said, "Looks like it's longjingcha today, dragonwell tea, a green tea from Zhejiang Province. It's one of my favorites. It's pan roasted, very different from a Japanese green tea, and if brewed well, which it always is here, very smooth and a little bit sweet and toasty."
He went back to the counter to pay the owner for the food and then went to drop into the seat at the table where he'd deposited the tray. He poured the tea with ease of much practice from the still hot pot into the two small cups, and he flipped through the photos for good ones to show Samnang.
As he reached for his first pastry, he held out the camera so that Samang could see a photo of himself in the air with a grip on the board and said, "I think that this is one of the better shots I got of you."

"Ooh, that sounds good." He paused, paying for his food and thinking over the word, humming a bit as he sat down. "I'm just doing sound association, which I know it essentially fatal in Chinese, but is longjingcha similar at all to Lung Ching Dragonwell?" He asked, before adding, "Besides them both being green teas, I mean."
He munched on one of his pastries, nodding in approval at it before leaning so he could better see the pictures. He grinned, "That one is awesome!" He said, excited for it. "It looks professional. Asian Tony Hawk." He laughed, straightening up and posing playfully.

Allen smiled and said, "In this case, you're quite right though, it's the same tea. Lung Ching is the romanization of the Cantonese name, and Longjing is in Mandarin. It does quite literally mean dragon well, but I always stumble over the name in English."
He grinned at Samnang enthusing over the picture and said, "That's because I showed you the best of the lot. There are some others in there that look like they have promise, but I won't be able to tell if they're good or not until I have them pulled up on my computer. A lot of them are a blurred mess though. I'm glad you like it."
He paused and then realized that part of what he said could be taken a different way, "That isn't to say that your tricks weren't awesome, but some of my pictures were not."

Samnang perked up, a grin forming on his face, "Oh, sweet." He looked off, seeming to be looking at nothing, "I wonder why we chose to take the Cantonese pronunciation? I've always found Mandarin to be easier on the American palette." He pondered, his smile returning by the end of his words.
He shook his head, "No, it's alright. I know what you're saying. Honestly, the fact that you got even a few good pictures is awesome enough for me. I mean, it's really awesome you're even doing this so..." He faded out, not actually having a direction for his final sentence.

Allen replied, "It's not a decision based on sense but on history. The British bought their tea from China through Hong Kong which is mainly Cantonese speaking, so a lot of the names of Chinese things in English is through the Cantonese name. It can be a little confusing if you don't speak Cantonese well or at all."
Allen munched on pastries for a bit, not entirely sure what he wanted to say next, and then, something his boss had brought up popped into his head. He told Samnang, "There's a local street fashion shoot that my work is trying to set up next month, it's going to be open casting call, just people relatively local to the area. If that's something that you'd be interested in, I can give you the info for it. It's a good connection if you're interested in the style and stuff."

"Ahhhh, I see." Samnang said, nodding. "I'm not big on learning history, so I've just done what was required of me. Maybe I should take an Asian History," he sidetracked, looking away, "I haven't checked if they have more specific history courses for the East but I'd assume they have a least a couple if they have the languages," He looked back to Allen, "it might be more interesting." He laughed, "Maybe I'll finally learn something about Cambodia and my parents will stop getting on my back for learning Korean before my heritage." He joked.
He hummed in thought. He'd never really considered modelling before, but the skateboarding photoshoot had been fun, and he was indeed interested in style. "Sure!" He said, his mouth seeming to decide before his mind had. "That sounds interesting, and it's not something I've tried before, modelling, so I'm curious to try it."

Allen pulled up the information on his phone and put the link in a text to Samnang. He smiled and said, "Hopefully that is an effective way to get you the information?"
As he munched on his pastries and sipped his tea, he was noticing that he was starting to feel a little tired, not short of breath yet, but he figured he should probably head home soon. He smiled at Samnang again and added, "I should probably make my way home once we've finished our snack. I'd rather not push myself again too far too soon. I'm still well within the good range right now, but I am working on not trying to use up all my limits."

Samnang checked his phone for the text, still having to wait a bit before it appeared. He opened the text and checked to make sure he could get to the information before giving Allen a thumbs up, "This is fine. I can see everything." He told him simply.
He sipped at his tea and was finishing off one of his pastries when Allen began speaking, and he glanced over to the other man. He nodded, "That's fine. I think the sun got to me a bit too much." He admitted with a short laugh. He looked over his arm, it looked a bit red from the sun, but it didn't seem like he'd get a sunburn, or at least not a bad one. "I'm a bit tired because of it, so I wouldn't mind heading home myself." He put his arm back down, resting it on the meat bun he had gotten with intent to pick it up. "I'm glad we got to meet up today; I look forward to seeing the rest of the pictures. When they're all ready, I can send you my email address so it's easier to transfer." He offered. "And I'm glad I came here with you. Now I know some good pastries to get here besides a Japanese one, and I'll be sure to try the tea more often, too." He said, giving Allen a smile before finally lifting the meat bun and taking a big bite of it.
