Thomas wondered if it was actually OK that he had so much control over scheduling the car. Kangwan had decided that he wanted to take Thomas somewhere during his free time, and Thomas had been able to look over Yuseong's schedules and just put an outing on the schedule with the company car. It was a day that some of the others had a shoot but were taking the smaller van, the J.B.N. members were taking the big van all together for another schedule, and everyone else was booked into a training room. He'd not been able to choose a day too far out because schedules did change, but he figured that he'd have his phone on him, and he had put the outing in the car schedule. It's not like Kangwan wasn't allowed to go places, and it wasn't during the time that he was expected to do something else.
He headed up to the Yuseong dorms, knowing that Kangwan would be waiting for him, and let himself in, still boggling that he was allowed to do that these days, but also glad that he knew that most of the others wouldn't be around. Mostly he and Kangwan had spent their time together at the company, finding time that none of the other Yuseong members would be at the dorm, but not really having much privacy. He'd not even had many chances to let Kangwan visit him at his apartment, where while Remi also lived there, at least gave him a room completely to himself.
He checked the room to see if Kangwan was there and ready, hovering by the door.

Kangwan was excited for tonight. Partly because it made him feel like a rebellious teenager again to be "sneaking out" to go on a date. He had on a nice but comfy sweater, dark blue jeans, and was planning to put on his newest sneakers, in a sense dressing up without actually dressing formally. As he heard the door open, he turned to Thomas and grinned. "Hi!" He said excitedly, going over to his boyfriend and giving him a hug. "I'm ready when you are, just have to put on my shoes."

Thomas smiled softly at Kangwan. His boyfriend seemed excited, and that made his small misgivings about this being dangerous to Kangwan somehow worth it. He was sure that it would be fine, mostly sure at least. He said, "I'm ready."
He waited for Kangwan to come over for his shoes so that he could wrap his boyfriend in a quick hug. He added, "The car's all ready too. We've got it for the rest of the day since you don't have any schedules this evening, and all the other schedules are happening in the vans. I suspect that we shouldn't stay out too late though, since you have a morning schedule tomorrow, but it sounded like you had a plan."
He was curious, but Kangwan hadn't really told him what they were doing. He asked teasingly, "Are you going to tell me where we're going now, or is the mystery going to continue somehow? I at least will need to know where to drive us."

Kangwan reciprocated the hug and then pulled on his shoes. "Sweet!" He grinned, "And yes, I do have a plan. It won't cause us to be out too late though." He began heading towards the garage, but hung back a bit to let Thomas lead them to the car. He pulled out his phone and wiggled it at Thomas. "It's still a surprise, but I will give you directions to the spot." He promised. He pulled up GPS and made sure the sound was off, hiding the destination from Thomas as he did so.

Thomas put an arm around Kangwan's shoulders as he steered them towards the garage, glad at least that he knew for sure now that that was perfectly normal touch behavior here. He'd seen the other managers do it often enough, especially when someone was on a phone or distracted. He didn't glance quickly enough to see what was on Kangwan's phone about where they were going.
He chuckled and said, "You're really determined for this to be a surprise. I'm very curious, but I guess for now, my job is just to drive. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get there."
He was glad when they got to the garage and the car, though he wished that it didn't mean dropping his arm from Kangwan's shoulders. He got into the car and got everything set up since he'd not been the last one to drive it. He grinned over at Kangwan and said, "Alright, ready. What's the first direction?"

Kangwan buckled his seat belt and waited patiently for Thomas to be ready to go, waiting for the GPS to figure itself out as the navigation found them. "Um, when you get out of the garage, you'll be making a left." He said, looking up, still unable to help the grin on his face. "But! Very important, first, before you start driving," he said, and then planted a not necessarily quick kiss on Thomas' lips. "Just in case we can't get anymore of those in today." He added softly.

Thomas cupped the back of Kangwan's head in his hand, threading his fingers into Kangwan's hair a little bit, and leaned in for a few more kisses. They didn't get many chances to just hang out and do boyfriend things. There was always the risk of Qiwang coming back if they were in Kangwan's room, and there just weren't that many private places around the company, not really truly private. It wasn't that the Yuseong members cared necessarily, but the idea of kissing in front of them was a little bit weird. Well, most of the Yuseong members didn't really care, but still, the idea made Thomas nervous. In the shadowed garage, already in the car, on no strict schedule seemed like a good moment to just relax into it for a bit, even if someone else from the company came into the space, it wouldn't be obvious what they were doing unless someone was really looking.
He smiled at Kangwan and said, "Good idea, though I hope we can manage a few more of those," as they finally pulled apart.
He focused then on getting them started, following Kangwan's driving directions. He said, "I trust you with this plan, but I am also deeply curious to find out what the plan is. Make sure to give me a little extra warning if I need to get over lanes or tell me what lane I'll need to be in for the next step."

Kangwan smiled, "I also hope so." He said.
He pulled out his phone so he could get directions in enough time to let Thomas know if he'd need to go across the freeway or a busy street. He really hope Thomas liked the restaurant they were going to. It was nice without being overly formal, so they'd be fine in just their jeans, and the lighting tended to stay low, giving more opportunities for him to stay hidden even once he takes off his mask to eat. It also had a mix of Italian, American, and Koreanified versions of both cuisines, so if for any reason Thomas was really craving something more Western, the option was there (and even if Thomas wasn't, he was).
