The next assessment section of the audition camp will be the position performances. The boys and the girls will each be split up into four groups based on their positions. The options are:
Boys (12) | Girls (15) | Vocal (3) | Vocal (4) | Dance (3) | Dance (4) | Rap x Dance (3) | Rap x Dance (3) | Vocal x Dance (3)
| Vocal x Dance (4) |
The number in parentheses above shows the number of trainees allowed in each group. If too many people want the same group, then those with higher placements will be given higher priority.
They will be choosing a pre-existing song (with choreography if applicable), and preparing a stage with their own reworking of the song/choreo.

Tai immediately went for the Vocal-Dance position, knowing that it would allow him to continue to show that he was really, incredibly prepared. He realized as he went though that there was a pretty good chance that this would put him with some of the oldest, most experienced members of the audition camp. He wavered at this for just a second, unsure if maybe he should just go to Dance instead. However, he also knew that the odds were very high that Felix would go for Rap-Dance, since there were only three trainees who were focused in rap at all, and that would be what the trainers would probably encourage him towards. Even if Felix had gone to Dance, Tai knew he probably shouldn't stick to just one person. He'd played it safe in his group for the previous assessment, and it had worked out well, but those groups had been intended to be balanced. This time, he probably needed to take the risk.
At least he probably wouldn't be expected to lead this group. He just hoped that he would be listened to.
He looked over to see how the girls were distributing themselves, wondering what Anya would choose. The female trainees had seemed to have more mismatched skill pairs, with multiple people who were beginners in one thing and advanced in the other. He wondered if Anya would have the confidence to go for Vocal-Dance, or if she'd even want to.
As one of the older trainees who'd also been advanced in both Dance and Vocals had his turn to join a group came up to Tai and joined him in Vocal-Dance, Tai bowed and said, "Hello hyung."
He was still a little bit unsure of himself when the other of the eldest, who had been advanced in Vocals and at the higher end of intermediate in Dance joined them as well, but he did figure that the three of them could probably put on quite the show. He did take a little bit of comfort knowing that the second one to join the group had lived in the US for about six years and so was a little bit less strict about age hierarchy, which Tai was still getting the hang of. He would have to navigate being eight and ten years older than his groupmates, so he hoped that Felix would manage OK with his group and not having the best Korean.
Tai was relieved when one of the two of them took the lead and then suggested a song that he was pretty comfortable with: Seventeen's "Don't Wanna Cry". He thought that it was an interesting thing to figure out impactful formations for, while having awesome footwork and some cool stunts that could carry through very well. One of the older trainees looked at him and asked, "You can do the flip kick type stunts, right kid?"
Tai nodded and said, "Yes, I can."
They were able to get the vocal lines distributed fairly quickly, with Tai taking on DK, Woozi, Vernon, and Jun's lines in the song, which meant that he was getting all the highest notes. He could work with that. The other two split the rest of the other members lines between higher and lower ranges, since one of them had a distinctly higher comfortable range than the other. They both could hit the high notes though. Tai was less intimidated as they forged into the dance arrangement, glad that the other two actually were willing to consult him on formations, and it was his idea of how to weave around each other, with one at a time acting as a fixed point, that ended up being what they used to replace the crossing formation in the original choreography.

Seojin hesitated. As one of two of the girls who had been assessed as advanced in both vocals and dance, even if she was marginal for it on vocals, she figured that she probably should do Vocal-Dance. But there was a part of her that just wanted to go to dance and not worry about it. It would be taking the easy path though, and she wasn't here for things to be easy, she was here to prove that she was good enough for Dreams Ent to take her as a trainee for real.
The other double advanced vocals and dance trainee had already joined Vocal-Dance, and Seojin walked over to the slightly older girl and smiled, saying, "I'll be joining you unnie."
The other girl smiled at her and replied, "Let's make a great performance."
Seojin wondered who the other two who would join them would be. She wasn't sure if Anya would feel confident enough in her vocals to try it, but at the same time, a lot of the girls were mismatched in their skill sets. The other advanced vocalist would probably go straight to Vocals because she had been in intermediate, but she'd struggled and barely held on to it in reassessments. The other two advanced dancers were a rapper and Anya. There were a few girls who had been intermediate in both though who would probably be interested if Anya decided to go for dance.
She waited to start discussing song choices until they had their other two members. But she started toying with what might work.
