CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL: Introductions and Arrivals

As you enter into Cedar Beach Commons, there are many booths set up around the park. Some of it is reminiscent of any farmer's market, some food, some art, but this time, it's all specifically Japanese-related items. Even those square watermelons you've probably heard about!
Past the stalls are more cultural things, a Taiko group is advertising for their performance - every day the festival is happening at 1pm and 7pm. Another section has art and calligraphy classes happening every two hours, every other session specifically for kids. There is also a tent where a traditional Japanese tea ceremony occurs twice a day - once in the morning, and once in the afternoon. Cedar Beach Community College also has a booth, advertising their Japanese classes, as well as offering a short Japanese language and culture lesson once a day during the festival.
Adjacent to the cultural area is a large amount of food trucks and stalls. Teriyaki chicken (and alternatives), rice bowls, and other Japanese snacks being advertised. Legal adults may get a wristband and try some sake.
