Taehoon checked their schedule first thing in the morning when he got up. Shihyun and Joshua were both off filming for some show or other pretty much all day, but he and Kangwan and Qiwang had a face cream photoshoot for Etude House that afternoon. He was relieved to get a little bit of a lazy morning. He tidied his and Shihyun's room, making sure that everything that needed to of his roommate's got into the laundry and then actually got the chance to eat some of the leftovers in the fridge.
Even if he hadn't approved of Kangwan's boyfriend before because of how much Kangwan seemed to like the guy, Thomas's cooking and leaving food in their apartment, food that their managers even approved of because it met their diets, but also had flavors, would have won him over. He made sure never to take the last serving of left overs though because those were clearly for Kangwan.
He hadn't seen the other two up and about yet, though he'd been in his room a decent chunk of the time, so when it got to be about an hour until one of their managers was slated to pick them up to take them to the photoshoot, he knocked on the two youngest members' door and called out, "Hey, you awake in there, manager will be here in an hour, so you should make sure you're up and showered and fed. The leftovers won't eat themselves."
Taehoon was per usual that the privilege of being the elder members sharing a room meant that he and Shihyun got their own tiny shower in their own tiny bathroom. It meant that he didn't have to compete with the others for shower time. Even all five of them sharing one shower would have been better than barracks showers though, so he wasn't too bothered, but it had been a nice side effect of the new dorm that they'd gotten a while after their debut.
He got himself dressed well enough that he didn't feel concerned about fansites taking pictures of them on the way in to the photoshoot. He didn't know if they'd be there or not, but there was a good chance. He wasn't sure if this was a publicized schedule or whether they'd be parking in a secured area or not. Black jeans with no tears that were stretchy enough to hug the muscles in his legs and a slightly clingy red turtleneck that he could pull down over his hands seemed good enough to him. He figured he would wear his stompy black boots, but those would wait until he was headed out the door. He checked his face in the mirror without makeup, and he didn't look too tired or have any marks on his face, not that he usually did, so he wasn't going to wear a face mask because he never liked the way they sat on his face. He messed with his hair a little bit with some water and a comb so that it wasn't a mess, but he didn't bother to style it or do makeup just to have them redone at the photoshoot.
With about fifteen minutes to spare, he came back out into the living room of the dorm, just as the manager came into the room and nodded to him. He looked around to see if the other two were ready.

Kangwan was begrudgingly awake already when he heard a knock on the bedroom door. He dragged himself to the shower before Qiwang had seemed to respond, trying to use the water to wake him up before getting dressed and going to the couch. Now that he had a song accepted for their album, he had gotten so focused on creating songs that he had gotten behind on practicing, and so he had spent most of the night doing that. When he got out of the bathroom and saw no one else was out there yet, he reminded himself to grab food before they left and then promptly curled onto a corner of the couch and ended up falling back asleep.

Qiwang groaned when he heard a knock at the door. He knew what that knock meant without Taehoon having to speak. Qiwang had admittedly stayed up later than he should have, knowing he had a photoshoot the next day. He knew the make-up squad worked miracles, so he hoped they would make the bags under his brown eyes nonexistant. He had showered the night before, knowing that the other boys would have to shower in order to get ready the next day. He yawned, sitting up. He noticed Kangwan was no where to be seen. He slowly placed his feet on the ground, feeling stiff as he rose to his feet. He flipped on the bedroom light, peaking into the mirror that hung above his dresser.
"Yikes..."
He muttered, running his fingers through his shaggy brown hair. He rubbed at his eyes, getting the gunk out of them. He blinked a few times, getting his vision to settle into place. He rummaged around his dresser drawers, pulling out a pair of dark grey joggers, quickly putting them on. He found a baggy dark grey sweatshirt (no hood) and shoved it on over his basic white shirt. He put some deodorant on, and he ran a brush through his hair. He wasn't too worried about what he looked like in front of his fans and manager. His fans knew he liked to be comfortable when he wasn't promoting the band.
As he finished getting ready, he flipped the light off, closing their bedroom door. He walked towards the kitchen, getting a plate of leftovers before plopping down on the couch beside Kangwan, who was now asleep. He finished eating, leaving the plate on the coffee table. He sat there, hands in his sweatshirt pocket, waiting for the manger to make his way there.
"How long do you think this will last, Taehoon? I have a pretty exam on Wednesday. I need to study a little today."

Taehoon snagged the plate that Qiwang had left on the table, and gently shook Kangwan's shoulder, saying, "Wake up sleeping beauty, time to go. You can nap in the car."
He took the plate to the kitchen, leaving it in the sink so that it was at least in the right place to be washed when they got home. He told Qiwang as he went, "Bring your books with you. We're probably going to be there most of the day, and you'll have time between parts of the shoot or when Kangwan or I have solo sections. Depending on how many fans are at or around the venue, we might be there pretty late."
He sighed, wishing that he had a moment to tidy the plates and all that. He veered back towards the couch before heading to the door, looking to see if the other two needed any more herding to get up and going. He asked Kangwan, "Have you eaten? Should I grab you something you can eat on the way?"
From the door, their manager said, "Five more minutes before we need to be out the door, otherwise we'll probably be late."

"I don't wanna..." Kangwan muttered, but sat up anyway. His eyes remained closed as he tilted his head towards the source of the sound of his bandmate, shaking his head in response to if he'd eaten, then adding, "yes please." as an answer to the second question. He rubbed his eyes wearily before finally opening them, looking to his roommate. "G'Morning." He said simply.

When Taehoon took the plate off the coffee table, Qiwang gave him a small, sheepish grimace. He knew he should have picked up after himself, and he would have, but he had just sat down. He had planned to take it to the sink whenever he got back up. If he remembered, that is. When Taehoon spoke, he nodded, pushing off his knees to stand up. He made his way towards his shared bedroom, quickly snatching up his backpack. It was had his laptop (which had all of his studying information on it) and a textbook for one of his harder classes. There was also a notebook and a pencil or three in there. He scurried back out to the living area, staying upright this time.
"I'm ready to go whenever."
He spoke, waiting for the manager to let them know when to go. He wasn't really ready to go out and be somewhat mobbed by fans. He loved his fans, he truly did. But he wished they would give the boys some space once in a while. There was a point where it became overbearing. He wished he could get a small break, but he also knew that he was in a contract.

Taehoon shook his head a little bit at Kangwan's sleepy mumbling, and he went and checked in the fridge, finding a small container of something that didn't look too messy to eat in the car. He carried it over to the doorway along with a pair of travel chopsticks that he'd snagged from the kitchen, telling the manager, "I'm ready."
As he got his shoes on, he called out gently to Kangwan, "I've got food for you. Come on and get your shoes on. Who knows, maybe they'll even have snacks for us once we get there."
Personally, more than anything, he hoped that they'd have decent tea at the photoshoot. A lot of times there was only coffee, and if it went long enough, Taehoon would end up drinking some, and then he would regret his life choices. Someday, he would learn better because the burst of energy, while it worked, did not lead him to good places. He was awake enough that he wasn't too concerned right away though.
He stood up and the manager did a quick check of his overall look and nodded, "You'll be fine if fans decide to take pictures. We've not got a secured entrance today, but we can pull up very close to the door, so it won't be much time. Kangwan, Qiwang, have you got your face masks?"
Taehoon dug around in the little basket beside the shoe rack and found a few of the simple black face masks that just got shared between the members of the group, and said, "If you don't there's plenty clean," and held them out towards the other two. He suspected that at least one of them was going to grumble at him about his skin not hating him, but that was an ongoing debate.

Kangwan finally seemed to start functioning and followed close to Taehoon, the smell of food reminding him he was actually hungry. He'd really have to thank Thomas at some point for always making sure there was manager-approved food in the dorm. He pulled on his shoes and put on the face mask, muttering a thank you to Taehoon but not without a glare at the older man. He hoped one day he'd have skin that liked him better. He couldn't imagine having to wear a face mask everytime he went out for the next however many years. He also hoped he'd get back into the idol sleep schedule; apparently high school spoiled him. But at least that one was an easier fix than his face hating him.

Not having a secured entrance was kind of a damper to Qiwang, but he was able to make the best out of the situation. Pictures were inevitable, and he hoped his fans thought his street style was comfortable and cool. He knew he didn't dress the best when leaving the dorms, but he also felt that he spent so much time in costume and being in character that he deserved the chance to wear sweatpants to the closed set. He quickly shoved a face mask on, grinning under it.
"Can I wear this to class?"
He joked, meaning it, though. He loved going to class and being able to fill his head with new ideas. The thing he disliked about school, though, was the fact that he had big fans in some of his classes, which distracted him from his studies. Was it too much to ask that people could take university more seriously? Was it too much to ask for people to wait until class was over in order to sneak pictures of him? He would gladly take a few fan pictures with them after class. He just hated when girls sat in front of him and snapped quick pics of him on their phones.

Taehoon chuckled at Kangwan's glare and said, "You just have to wear it for the walk to the car and the walk to the building, on the way home, you can keep makeup on and not have to wear it."
He ruffled Kangwan's hair a little bit with his free hand, making sure that it fell in a semi-arranged state and didn't look rumpled when he was done.
At Qiwang's joking comment, he looked over to him and said, "I mean, do you think it would help? They already know you're in the class, and it's not like fansites don't take pictures of us when we wear masks if they know it's us."
The only time Taehoon ever wore the masks other than when he was sick was to go to temple when he took public transportation. It was crowded enough that the extra little bit of anonymity helped a lot. The fans hadn't yet figured out that he did it either, so he'd not run into any issues yet. He'd occasionally run into a fan in the area around the temple he sometimes frequented, but that was different.
But management wanted them to wear the masks when their skin wasn't at its best, and that was how it was.
He looked them all over and turned to the manager, saying, "Looks like we're good to go."
They were herded down to the car that was waiting for them right outside the entrance. Taehoon noticed that there were some fans across the street, and he figured a few pictures would go around, but they were keeping a decent distance from the entrance, and there wasn't a lot of them. He wasn't bothered when it was like this, but he figured it had a chance to be a little bit more intense once they got to the photoshoot location.
Once they were in the car, he handed the food and portable chopsticks to Kangwan so that his younger bandmate could eat.

Kangwan gave the fans across the street a short wave as they exited the building, climbing in to the car and putting on his seatbelt. He happily took the food and chopsticks from Taehoon as he pulled off the face mask with his other hand, giving his hyung a smile. "Thank you!" He said, not waiting even a moment before opening the container and beginning to eat.
With food in his system, and in general actually starting to wake up, Kangwan looked to Taehoon. "It's just the photoshoot today? Or do we have more?" He asked curiously. He knew he had some practice to catch up with, and he also wanted to work on some more songs.

Sitting in the transportation unit was always a hard thing for Qiwang to do. As he was herded into the vehicle, he took a seat, listening to the other boys ramble to each other. He got a whiff of food, knowing that Kangwan had gotten some to-go food. Qiwang always liked to eat before leaving for the day when it came to band things. He never knew if he would have time to grab a bite to eat throughout the day. He felt that he might as well get one good meal in before his day got hectic. He sat there, mask on, tapping his fingers on his thigh as the drove about the city. He liked to watch the people walking along the sidewalks. It was nice to see normal, not fanatic people.

Taehoon told both of them, though it had been Kangwan who asked, "This is our only schedule today, but we'll likely be here most of the day. There's going to be some behind the scenes filming and it sounds like a mini-interview, but most of the day is just going to be photoshoots with a few different sets and looks. We'll probably be in and out of makeup and hair a few times."
He was used to taking on the leader role when Joshua wasn't there. Though he was eternally glad that Joshua was there to be the leader for the group as a whole since he was a whole lot less shy than Taehoon was in general. It worked for Taehoon's image that he was rather quiet with people he was unfamiliar with, but it wasn't the best leader trait. He had a good head for schedules and for keeping things in order though.
He told Kangwan, slightly teasingly, "We should practice some of the dances when we get back to the company though. You've been spending too much time staring at the computer and you're getting out of practice."
It didn't take that long to get to the studio where they were filming, and Taehoon was glad that they would have a short walk to the gate, then only a little bit of courtyard where they would still be visible to fans. He told Kangwan, "Just leave the dishes in the van if you're done eating, we can deal with them when we get back."
Once the manager got out of the car and opened the door on the sidewalk side for them, Taehoon climbed out first, walking efficiently towards the gate that was being held open for them by one of the studio's staff. There were cameras clicking, and he knew that there would be fansite photos up, possibly even before they left for the evening, but he wasn't too worried about them. He gave a small smile and wave for a fan who yelled out his name. That was a less common occurrence. He knew that he didn't have the most fansites in the group, but he was OK with that. Honestly, he thought it might have been overwhelming to have as many people yelling his name as were for some of the others, and it wasn't like he wasn't popular either. It was probably good for his sanity that he had one of the older demographic of fans among the group as a whole though.
As he stepped through the gate, he glanced back, waiting for the other two to get through and the manager to get back in the van to drive it to parking. Their manager would be back with them pretty shortly, but for the next few minutes, the other two were Taehoon's responsibility.

Kangwan stuck his tongue out at Taehoon as he quipped about him spending too much time on his computer, but eventually said, "yes, hyung" before he finished eating.
As they arrived, he closed the tupperware and left it on the seat as Taehoon told him to. As he climbed out of the vehicle, he smiled to his fans despite the face mask, giving them a wave and bow. Of the fans the group had, his tended to be the youngest, which was expected considering he was the youngest, but it also meant they were most loud. He stepped through the gate, taking Taehoon's arm as he did so. "I'm still sleepy." He told the older man quietly. "I want some sugar. Like hot chocolate or something."

The excitement of getting to the studio was starting to hit Qiwang as the van stopped behind the gates. He waited for the other two to get out of the van before taking the bound to the ground. He heard his name called, and he waved towards a group of fans. He shot them a peace sign before making his way inside the door. Once he got in the doors, he waited for the door to close before taking his mask off. His hair stood up from the static of the mask, chuckling at himself.
"I always forget how stuffy these things are."
He muttered, gently folding and unfolding the mask between his hands. He looked over at the other two boys, nodding in agreement with Kangwan.
"I could use some coffee right about now. I feel you."
